Dear Community,

Metadium continued to make significant advancements in DID in the year’s second half. As we express our gratitude to everyone who has been with Metadium in 2023, we would like to take a moment to review and summarize the key achievements and developments from the past six months before launching our new goals for 2024.

Summary

From October to December 2023, 10,191,291 transactions and 41,912 DID wallets were created.
Bokbunja hard fork was successfully applied to the mainnet.
Metadium Mainnet Explorer was renewed following Bokbunja Hard Fork.
The staking contract for Metadium Governance was upgraded.
Announcements were made regarding changes in BP and FeeCollector addresses, staking amounts, and META circulating supply.

Technology Updates:

Q4 Monthly Transactions

During the fourth quarter of 2023, there were f 10,191,291 transactions, and 41,912 DID wallets were created.(as of January 2nd).

Launch of Wepublic Wallet

The existing DID wallet service, MYKEEPIN, was renewed and rebranded as Wepublic Wallet. Metadium’s DID technology was implemented in Wepublic Wallet, contributing to Wepublic DAO participants’ identity verification protocol.

Wepublic supports four decentralized protocols: identity proofing, credentialing, result proofing, and balance proofing. Metadium aims to enhance transparency in society and services within the DAO platform ecosystem by utilizing blockchain technology.

Explorer Renewal

With the Bokbunja Hard Fork on October 31, the Metadium Mainnet Explorer was renewed. The Explorer was redesigned for improved functionality and usability, serving as the foundation to provide better services to the Community.

The renewal included a visually comfortable design, easy confirmation of transactions and DID creations, a reflection of Bokbunja Hard Fork details, adding the Name Tag feature.

Bokbunja Hard Fork

On October 31, at 12 PM, the Bokbunja Hard Fork was successfully implemented on the mainnet -this groundbreaking upgrade aimed to enhance the Metadium network by introducing features, including fee delegation.

Governance BP Upgrade

The staking contract is where Metadium governance members store their staking assets. A bulk transfer of staking assets was carried out to upgrade the staking contract. All the assets within the staking contract were transferred to the BP1 node wallet, serving as the contract owner. The total staking amount within the BP1 node wallet was subsequently moved to the newly upgraded staking contract.

BP Staking Contract Asset Transfer

Assets were transferred to standardize the number of staking contracts to 5 million. If the BP quantity exceeded 5 million, the excess amount was unstaked and withdrawn. If the BP quantity was less than 5 million, an additional deposit was made for the insufficient quantity. The remaining amount was transferred to a non-circulating wallet that does not contribute to the circulating supply. Throughout this process, there was a change in the total staking amount.

BP, FeeCollector Address Change and Circulating Supply Update

Voter addresses of BPs were changed, and the address of FeeCollector was registered. This change aimed to separate Voter addresses from Staker addresses and directed transaction fees to accumulate in the FeeCollector’s address.

Business Partnerships:

Purchasing META for THEPOL Rewards

THEPOL purchases META from the market to use as a reward for app users. As the number of THEPOL users and activities increases, the reward demand grows, and THEPOL buys additional META from the market. This signifies the growth of Metadium’s DApp in action.

위퍼블릭 월렛 런칭

메타디움의 기존 DID 지갑 서비스인 마이키핀을 Wepublic Wallet으로 리뉴얼 오픈했습니다.

메타디움의 DID 기술은 Wepublic DAO 참여자의 신원증명 프로토콜에 구현되어 Wepublic Wallet에서 활용되었습니다.

Wepublic은 신원증명, 자격증명, 결과증명, 잔고증명 4가지의 탈중앙화된 프로토콜을 지원합니다. 블록체인 기술을 활용하여 사회와 서비스의 투명한 운영을 위한 DAO 플랫폼 생태계에 참여함으로써 Metadium의 확장성을 넓혀가려 합니다.

익스플로러 리뉴얼

메타디움 메인넷의 복분자 하드포크(10/31)를 기점으로 익스플로러 또한 리뉴얼 되었습니다.

메타디움은 익스플로러를 새롭게 리뉴얼하여 기능과 사용성을 강화했습니다. 또한 커뮤니티에 보다 나은 서비스를 제공하기 위한 초석으로 삼았습니다.

리뉴얼로 인해 익스플로러에 시각적으로 편안한 디자인, 트랜잭션 및 DID 생성수의 쉬운 확인, 복분자 하드포크 내용 반영, Name Tag 기능 추가가 반영되었습니다.

복분자 하드포크

10월 31일 오후 12시에 복분자 하드포크가 메인넷에 성공적으로 적용되었습니다. 메타디움 네트워크를 새로운 높이로 끌어올리기 위한 혁신적인 업그레이드인 이번 복분자 하드포크를 통해 수수료 대납 기능이 신설되는 등 많은 변화가 생겼습니다.

거버넌스 BP 업그레이드

스테이킹 컨트랙트는 메타디움 거버넌스 멤버들의 스테이킹 자산을 보관하는 곳입니다.

스테이킹 컨트랙트의 업그레이드를 위해, 스테이킹 자산을 일괄 이관 작업 하였습니다. 스테이킹 컨트랙트에 있는 모든 자산을 BP1 노드 지갑으로 전송했습니다. 해당 지갑은 컨트랙트 owner입니다. 이후 BP1 노드 지갑에 있는 전체 스테이킹 수량을 업그레이드 된 신규 스테이킹 컨트랙트로 전송하는 작업을 완수했습니다.

BP 스테이킹 컨트랙트 자산 이동

스테이킹 컨트랙트의 수량을 500만개로 통일하기 위해 자산을 이관 처리했습니다. BP 수량 500만 개 초과인 경우, 초과된 수량만큼 예치해지 및 출금하였으며, BP 수량 500만 개 미달인 경우 미달된 수량만큼 추가 예치하였습니다. 이 외 남는 수량은 유통량에 카운트되지 않는 비유통량 지갑으로 전송되었습니다. 이 과정에서 전체 예치 수량의 변화가 있었습니다.

BP, FeeCollector 주소 변경 및 유통량 업데이트

BP의 Voter 주소를 변경하고 FeeCollector의 주소를 등록하였습니다. 본 작업을 통해 Voter 주소를 Staker 주소와 분리하고, 트랜잭션 수수료를 FeeCollector의 주소로 쌓이도록 변경했습니다.

CPLABS가 만든 블록체인 기반 서베이 앱 THEPOL이 리워드로 사용하기 위한 META를 시장에서 구매하여 앱 사용자에게 리워드로 제공합니다. THEPOL의 사용자 및 활동이 늘어날 수록 리워드 수요도 증가함에 따라, THEPOL은 필요한 만큼 마켓에서 META를 추가 구매합니다. 이는 메타디움 DAPP의 성장을 의미합니다.
